hitchBOT, created by Communication Studies and Multimedia professor David Harris Smith, is traveling the United States.

A new musical ensemble consisting of live coding performer Dr. David Ogborn (McMaster) and tabla player Shawn Mativetsky (McGill) has its first public performances at two conferences this Summer.

Drs. Smith and Zeller (Ryerson) have been invited to be part of a team developing “Spaceball”, a spherical social robot for the International Space Station.

Dr. Quail’s article “Producing Reality: Television Formats and Reality TV in the Canadian Context” appears in the latest issue of the Canadian Journal of Communication.

Dr. Smith was interviewed April 15 by CBC Radio One’s As it Happpens host Carol Off. The two discussed kulturBOT’s upcoming trip aboard ViaRail’s Great Canadian PoeTrain Tour, celebrating National Poetry Month.

Dr. Mussio has won the prestigious Ontario Undergraduate Student Alliance (OUSA) Award for Teaching Excellence.

Dr. Baade has been awarded McMaster’s prestigious title of University Scholar, a title recognizing faculty members’ extraordinary achievements, demonstrated distinction, and impact as international scholars.

MCM student Faisal Ikram has published a paper titled “Perceptions of public relations students in Oman: Examining the perception of public relations student to their education in Oman,”€ in the Asian Journal of Management Studies and Education.
