Jacquie Hoornweg, MCM, ABC 

Jacquie Hoornweg is managing partner of a busy communication and policy consultancy working in the energy and urban infrastructure sectors. Prior to founding Querencia Partners with her partner, Jacquie was vice president of corporate relations and communications for Ontario’s largest electricity generation company, Ontario Power Generation. She teaches reputation management in McMaster’s Master of Communication Management (MCM) and in the DeGrooteSchool of Business, Executive Education program. In her practice, Jacquie combines academic research and corporate management experience to help clients use traditional and digital communication strategies and content to strengthen relationships with stakeholders and meetbrand and business goals.

Maria Sotra is Vice President of Marketing at Geotab. With over 10 years of experience driving business growth through impactful marketing and strategic communications, Maria leads the marketing direction for Geotab, a fastest growing tech company in the Internet of Things (IoT) – telematics. As an entrepreneurial-spirited marketer, Maria has a sharp creative eye, practical knowledge for coding and search engine optimization, strong expertise in digital marketing strategy, ability to build new teams in fast-paced and highly dynamic environments, and develop, manage, and grow brands on a global scale.

Maria Sotra is Vice President of Marketing at Geotab. Maria has built a strong foundation in both theory and business practice: Maria holds an executive Masters in Communication Management (MCM) and, most recently, has completed a Harvard Business School program focused on driving digital strategy.

Christine Szustaczek, MCM, APR 

Christine is an award winning communicator who is Chief Communications Officer at Sheridan College, where she previously served as AVP Communications, Public Affairs and Marketing and Director, Corporate Communications and External Relations.

Christine ran a communications consultancy for ten years, helping numerous colleges, universities, hospitals and social service agencies to communicate their impact.  She also worked as a fundraiser. Christine holds an Honours BA in International Relations and a graduate degree in Communications Management. She’s a board member of the Oakville Chamber of Commerce, Canadian Public Relations Society-Hamilton Chapter and the Alice and Murray Maitland Charitable Foundation.
