Dr. Gardner elected President of International Communication Association
Paula Gardner, McMaster’s Asper Research Chair in Communications, has been elected President of the International Communication Association. As a result of her election, she will serve on the association’s Executive Committee, as Program Chair for the ICA’s upcoming 2017 conference in San Diego, and as ICA President beginning in 2017.
Dr. Gardner’s election as President of the largest international scholarly association in the field of communications is tremendously exciting for McMaster’s Department of Communication Studies and Multimedia.
President-Elect-Select Gardner also serves as the outgoing chair of the ICA’s Feminist Scholarship Division. Her research interests include feminist media studies, digital culture, and affective and biometric technological practices.
